We listen to customer feedback and release new versions and features of our software quite often.
Software updates are free for existing customers
May 27, 2020
Increased A/D depth, faster data acquisition
Software update increases virtual A/D depth to 26 bit (requires instrumentation with firmware 408001 and up)
Automatic checking of Rotor setup data to catch data entry issues
Several performance improvements and enhancements
Simplified calibration for hard-bearing machines
January 11, 2020
Encoder-guided definition of exclusion areas (PRO software only):
Added Message Box to accept or dismiss newly defined exclusion area.
December 11, 2019
Encoder, visual aid for ARP tests:
Position indicator and visual aid for test mass position updated
November 26, 2019
Added Measure time statistics with millisecond resolution. Helpful for cycle optimization in time-critical applications.
Heartbeat for OPC:
Heartbeat suspended if software is in DEMO mode, or if USB communication is interrupted.
Label Printer, Font size:
Font size for Correction Info printer is automatically selected based on label size.
November 09, 2019
Average Vibration in Balancing Log now also available in Teach-mode, in addition to soft-bearing machines.
Label Printer, Font size:
Font size for label printer can be set by user.
November 06, 2019
Rotor name database:
Self-check and automatic correction added for rotor name files and folder
October 23, 2019
Added Total Run Time and Average Vibration (for soft-bearing machines) in balancing Log.
Easier to read
Example: 02:11:37 changed to
02 hours, 11 minutes, 37 seconds
October 16, 2019
Automatically adjust font size and page orientation.
October 7, 2019
Added OPC tag to signal that calibration is complete and valid. (PRO license required)
Added customizable filter and data acquisition timing for automatic machines. (PRO license required)
September 26, 2019
Option to open new PDF documents automatically after save.
September 23, 2019
Updated nomenclature in Tooling Averaging Dialog and Print Report. (PRO license required)
Added Total Run Time and Average Vibration (for soft-bearing machines) in Run History.
Expanded Data log:
For each balancing run, Date, RPM, Unbalance amount and phase are automatically logged. Expanded data log adds Time, Serial number and other data. (PRO license required)
September 10, 2019
More modern look with rounded buttons
More concise operator prompts, larger fonts.
Delayed Tooling compensation:
Delayed Tooling compensation allows interrupting the tooling compensation procedure after Step 1, and continuing with Step 2 at a later time. This is useful when tooling indexing requires more time; balancing machine can be used for other rotors while tooling and rotor are re-assembled after indexing.
Calibration Log print-out
A calibration log can be printed In soft-bearing mode. Formatting of decimal points depending on value has been added.
August 31, 2019
All documents generated by the EasyBalance software (Balancing certificates, Calibration reports, ARP documents and so on) can be printed either on paper or saved as pdf documents. 3rd party apps or virtual pdf printer no longer required.
Scan barcode and the software will automatically find and activate the correct rotor setup. Optional: Start balancing process automatically after barcode has been scanned (PRO license required)
Remote Data backup:
In addition of keeping an automatic log of all balancing operations on the local machine, we now can maintain a log of all raw data on a remote machine (optional).
July 15, 2019
Clip bin segmented rotors:
July 01, 2019
Data Backup on demand:
Complete backup of all rotor data, setup data, calibration data, history and reports, to user-selectable drive location (local or network), with click of a button.
June 21, 2019
In addition to automatic data backup at program exit, we now can initiate a backup at any time with an OPC tag (OPC license required)
June 15, 2019
Two-level password protection (PRO license required)
Level 1: Instrumentation Setup
Level 2: Hardware Setup, Calibration, SAE Test and Automation
For correction methods using a single or several discrete correction masses for segmented rotors, the software will now be able to utilize not only the two nearest segments, but will find the optimum combination of available segments.
Correction methods can now be selected independently for each plane (PRO license required)
For instance, for a motor with a blower wheel, drilling into aluminum could be selected for one plane, and clip correction in segments for the other plane.
May 26, 2019
If number of clips is limited, software will now apply optimum combination of available clips while not exceeding clip limit
Encoder position did not properly update.
May 15, 2019
Clip bin program:
Operator can select “Avoid occupied segments”. If Rotor Segments are defined, previously used segments for clip bin correction can be excluded for subsequent corrections.
Proper use of units:
We have adjusted the display of units according to SI Unit rules and style conventions
g-mm, now displayed as g·mm
oz-in,now displayed as oz·in
April 26, 2019
Segments will now move on-screen with rotor movements, same as the actual correction location (requires encoder)
Added IPC (Interprocess Communication) option in addition to OPC and RS232.
IPC (Interprocess Communication) uses WM_COPYDATA and can very easily be implemented.
Remote application = _T("EasyBalance_IPC_controller");
EasyBalance application = _T("EasyBalance_IPC_interface");

Rotor name database:
Self-repairing rotor name data base.
We developed a data base format which can error check and self-repair.
